why are there websites that people can stalk other ppl?

i mean whatever happened to provacy? like i get the idea of catching up with old pals you havent seen in awihle on websites like myspace & facebook, but it turns people obssesive in following other people's lives, ex: twitter. i mean doesnt it seem stalkerish knowing everything one person is doing, like there is no privacy whatsoever. and dont you hate when ppl have a conversation online like we would even be intrested? idk but those websites make me feel like im violating other peoples personal lives. what are your thoughts?

I feel the exact same. But it's too late cause facebook completely made me into a stalker , like on my home page now it shows wall to wall posts of my friends... like it's wanting me to read it. But twitter seems like it was just created to stalk people. Like right away your friends are known as "the people you're following". I don't know, it just seems weird but at the same time I'm addicted to facebook.
