blackberry facebook notifications not working?

my blackberry is the curve 8530, my friends have the same phone with the same update of facebook as me. my notifications consist of things i have uploaded, liked or commented on. while theirs are regular notifications you would recieve as if you were online on a computer. is there any way to fix this? thanks.

yeah, you need to have the email address that is associated to your Facebook account to be pushed to your device in order to receive the notifications AFAIK.
