Dell inspiron n5050 reformat probs.. PLEASE HELP?
Trying to reformat computer using the internal repair tool

ie: Pressing F8 during bootup
when i press the repair my computer option it says windows is loading files
the progress bar reaches full then it stops.
I do not have a CD
What could be the problem
I have no trouble getting into the system
Just cant get past the windows is loading files screen in the repair utility
UPDATE: Just did a memory test and it passed

U need a disk for sure. Guess some error in boot table..

Hi Jason,

I am Kaveri from the Dell Social Media Outreach team.

To isolate the issue between hardware & software, run hardware diagnostics. If all tests are passed, it confirms that the issue is not with hardware on the computer.

- Press the power button to turn on the system
- Press F12 repeatedly or Fn+power until you see boot menu
- Select diagnostic

and wait for the test to complete . In case you get any error please make a note of it. Otherwise it is a software issue.

Try to do PC restore through Recovery option. If it is not working then you may have to reinstall the windows.
