Why is it people seem different in real life compared to their facebook profiles?
for example one person might have 200+ friends on facebook, but in reality they are quiet and keep to themselves..

So what you are saying is that you have to be loud and extrovert to have friends?

Facebook is a virtual world. It is where you can be whatever you want to be. You chose what goes up and when it does. Anything bad you will tend to avoid posting such as bad pictures. It is almost like many virtual world games like second life and the sims but in a form of social networking. In a way Facebook is just a game and we chose what the story is and how we play it.

some people see it as an opportunity to depart some from their life. your example fits me perfectly. i have aprox 200 friends on facebook but i only socialize with a small group of people. i mostly have all of those people on my facebook to keep up with things that go on. just because i have 200 facebook friends doesnt mean i have 200 people who i always socialize with.
