Will Obama's myRA result in more people being unprepared for retirement?
Everything Obama does has the opposite effect from what he says it will have.

Now Obama wants to help people prepare for retirement with a new program called myRA.

Obama hopes myRA will be first step on retirement

Of course, liberals will cheer wildly for the president's plan, without even knowing what it is.

Will Obama's plan involve compulsory withholdings from pay into your myRA plan, like Social Security?

Will it earn the lowest possible return on investment, so that literally any other choice would have been better?

Will there be the highest fees deducted out of the account, so that literally any other choice would have been better?

Will we once again be forced to make the worst possible choice, because we had no choice?

Just like everything else Obama has done as president....?

What's happening is with all the higher taxes the liar in chief is instituting those who wish to retire will hold off thus making less jobs available for those coming into the workplace. He's screwing it up for everyone and will continue to do so for the next three years. A pen is a very dangerous weapon in his hands.

No. MyRA would be just like an IRA, except the savings accounts would be protected by the faith of the American government instead of subject to market whims, allowing Americans to keep their retirement savings instead of losing them like what happened during Bush's final year as president.

Nice hysteria. Don't suppose you've done any research, huh? Just fly off the handle and trumpet expectation of the worst pssible motive and outcome. Go back to sleep.

If I was allowed to keep some of my dispodable income I could dave for retirement.
Instead that money is taxed away leaving me nothing to save.

Obama has raised taxes thereby making it harder for people to save.

The first question to ask is: Will there be a choice in the matter? The second one to ask is, do the younger people want it? And the third question is as important as the other two, what will it cost to "guarantee" no losses? I'm retired now, but I saw a Democratic Congress raid social security for funds, then complain when they were supposed to pay it back--and they haven't yet. I know of no guarantees that politicians make that can be relied upon.

I have no idea why he is getting the government into retirement planning, since the option he is calling for exists right now for everyone--all they have to do is start it.

Took all of 5 minutes to set up an IRA for myself that automatically deducted from my account. You can have it directed from your paycheck if you so choose. Very simple.

You really are full of sh-t oh so boring. You have no interest in looking at the facts of any proposal with something even remotely like an open mind. You just mindlessly criticize anyone you think you are supposed to criticize. You are unwilling or unable to think for yourself.
