there are rumours spread about me?

There was this rumor that i said mean things about this girl whos popular and heaps of people dont talk to me. I was trying to talk to her after school but it was too late so i facebook messaged her because i didnt want to talk to her while her friend was arround (who wasnt arround today) anyway i facebook messaged her saying that the rumour wasnt true and someone kept making rumours about me hating heaps of people. and it said seen and she didn't reply and i don't know what to do!!!!
Pleasee helpp! Im going to see her tommorow at school so how do i not be awkward around her?

Just ignore it and lay low. I know that's easier said than done but if you ignore her and her friends she then she will forget about it and won't feed off your reactions. She's trying to pick on someone who is going to react back to her. Just stay out of her way and do your own thing. Rumors don't last long so hang in there.

You can't control what others say. I think you had the right idea. Trying to explain is a good step. Since no one will ever admit they are behind this, don't repeat a word they write or say. That implies that it might be true. You should write a blanket apology, because your a victim of rumors and so are the people that might think you dislike them.

Here's what you do. You write a public message to the person that is starting the rumors. You want the people that are the victims, to know your a victim too. Something like, "Attention rumor person, I'm not sure why you would use me to spread your rumors, but your a sad small person. I don't agree with what you said or wrote and I wish you had taken responsibility for thoughts. But your weak and frail, I guess. So you have to hide behind me to share your nasty opinions. I'm sorry that some people have been mislead by the rumors you started. I want to apologize to the people you wrote or talked about. They are like me, victims of your troubled mind. I'm not the kind of person you are, I will stand up and apologize for you to them. So anyone that has heard that I said or wrote something nasty about them, I'm very sorry, but it wasn't me. If you heard something "that I supposedly said " and you don't know me. Be sure it's someone playing with us. I'm not that kind of person, but someone else is. If we ignore the rumor weasel, they will go away.

Do not repeat their lies, that's how things spread. Don't be afraid to apologize. It's not hard to say your sorry for something you didn't do. In time the weasel will stop or move on. If you talk to someone about them, feel sorry for their sick mind. If you go around being mad at them, you might seem guilty of something. Innocent people are calm, guilty people are loud. If your calm and honest with the girl and her friends, chances are they will believe your not the mean person. Just don't repeat any of the rumors. If someone else repeats a rumor, act like you never heard the rumor before. Then say, "No I never said that, I'm sorry someone else did."
