Question about Tumblr. It may be stupid but please answer. :)?

Hi, so my question is about Tumblr.com. I'm sure everyone has heard of it.
Well, I'm not an expert yet, (obviously).
Ok, I know what Hashtagging is, I know how it works.
When I want to search for stuff on Tumblr it says -search tags,etc-
When I do that, example (the vampire diaries) it brings me to a page of the vampire diaries posts that other people have posted. Whenever I add my own photo, text or post and use that same hashtag, when I go to search it, or log off of tumblr and search, I can never find my own post under the hashtags?
Sorry if I'm not too clear, but understand what I mean??

Yeah it happens to me sometime as well! I think its just that it doesn't work now and again.

Not sure what's the problem.
Maybe the tags page is really active and your post got lost among the other tags? That's my only guess.
