Bar/bat mitzvah question?

I am Christian and have been invited to one bar and one bat mitzvah. I would appreciate any knowledge on the subject of etiquette. However my main question is about attire. First should I wear the same dress to the service and party or different dresses. Second should I get a different dress for each bar/bat mitzvah or can I wear the same one? Finally I always see pictures on social networks (Instagram and facebook) of people posing in fancy dresses about to go to bat/r mitzvahs. So is it okay if I don't hang out with people before and I just go?

different dresses. dress for the service like you would go to church. dress for the party like a party. The service is not a party. other people are there to say prayers for their deceased loved ones, o get spiritual guidance, to try to find a way through life's difficulties. So don't forget that the doors of the temple are open to all, and be respectful during the service.
