can i make an icon for facebook so that i can go directly......how

Hi,

1.) Right click on the desktop on a blank space
2.) Highlight New... and then click "shortcut".
3.) In that box where it says point to the location, type in http://www.facebook.com
4.) Click next
5.) Call the shortcut "Facebook"

Done!

If you have Windows 8, or 8.1 and you want it on your start screen, right click this shortcut you just made and click "Pin to Start screen".

another easy way is to open the website (facebook in this case). Go to the URL bar (where you see the http://www.facebook.com URL), click on the icon next to the URL and drag it over to your desktop and let go. Windows will create a shortcut on your desktop that opens your browser and takes you to the web page.
