how do i keep my youtube channel private?

I just don't want people looking on my "profile" and seeing my playlists, search history etc. Is there a way I can keep everything private? I am fnding it difficult to do this since google took over. Thanks in advance for any information

go to settings and change each setting to private, comments private, likes private, view history private. when you upload a video change it to private and not public. everything you do change it to private. is like facebook, you just can't have a private facebook, you have to go to each setting and change it from public to private.
