It's possible her account may have been hacked and changed. Tell her to go to "forgot password" and get a new password.

Chat Friends FacebookFacebook Login Email With millions of people using it every day for personal use and business, Facebook has become an attractive target for hackers who wish to gain access to your account. Through malicious phishing links that attempt to steal your account login credentials, hackers are able to use your Facebook account to send unsolicited messages and status updates to your friends. Keeping your Facebook account information secure is important to maintain the privacy of you and your friends.

Unsolicited Messages and Chat
One of the most recognizable ways to know if a Facebook account has been hacked is if the account owner starts sending messages and chat IMs that she would normally not send. A common scam that hackers use is pretending to be the account owner and sending messages to the account owner's friends, claiming that she is in trouble and needs assistance. They may also send links or upload pictures that are uncharacteristically inappropriate. They can use the hacked Facebook account to send advertisements or phishing links to attempt to hack more accounts.

Malicious Links
In addition to malicious links being sent via the Facebook message and chat features, hackers will generally use the hacked account to send spam links out to the account's Facebook wall. These links will often lead to websites that attempt to steal personal information, such as credit card information or Facebook account credentials. The destination websites can be disguised to resemble familiar websites such as YouTube.com or Facebook itself. Always check the URL in the address bar to ensure the link is sending you to the correct place.

Reporting an Account Hack
If you suspect that your friend's account was hacked, submit a scam or hack report through Facebook's Help Center. Make sure to contact your friend through other means such as email or phone to confirm that the account was actually compromised. If you believe your own account has been hacked, secure your account using Facebook's security tools within the Help Center. This will lock your account for investigation and prevent further action from occurring without your permission.

Keeping Your Account Secure
To keep your account safe, use a complex, long password with a mix of letters, numbers and symbols. Change your password frequently to keep it fresh in case your password was obtained. Use Facebook's backup security measures such as cellphone confirmation to ensure you can gain access to your account again in the event of a hack. Do not click suspicious links that your friends may post on their Facebook wall or send to you through a message.
