psychology and marketing career?

hi all,
i recently finished high school and really fell in love with my ap psychology class - i have a passion for social sciences and humanities, and i am also very interested in branding and marketing but don't like economics and business too much - just the human aspects of marketing, branding, design and psychology...

what careers are open for me?
are there career titles that involve the psychological/human aspect of branding and marketing??
i am looking forward to completing a ba in psychology, but will i also have to do an ma in business in order to get into branding and marketing? [again, i hate math.. technical stuff.. numbers, economics.. haha]

I got my BA in psych. There is a branch of psychology called 'consumer psych'. Slivers of that and pieces of social psych address advertising and influence. But those are such small slices of the psychological pie.

Bottom line, in this day and age and this economy, BA psych jobs don't pay for sh*t. I'm living proof. I think for your goals, either a minor in psych (or perhaps just a few courses) should do well to compliment marketing.

Yeah, you'll have to focus your education on classes that may not inspire you as much as the psych classes (let's face it, psych classes are cool), however; on your first day at your advertising job, I hope you'll be tossing a penny into my jar as I sit in tattered clothes on the sidewalk eloquently expressing my thoughts and feelings and suggesting how various personality theorists might interpret them.

That's my suggestion, but be sure to stop by your college's career center to get more information about tomorrow's job market.
