Facebook...Why did the email notifications switch to off !?
Suddenly the email notifications were turned off without I change them..did facebook turn them off !?

facebook was getting alot of complaints about all the email notifications so they turned them off. You can easily customize and fix this in your settings tab in the top right by logout.
