How can i bust down the GAY closet door?!?!?

well im gay, im 21. in the military, in the closet too. im in love with my boyfriend who is back home. i want to be out, i hate being in the closet.

i have an idea on how to come out, any better ideas?

so my idea is to call my sister, then my mom and tell them that im gay. weeks later, when i go home, we can have more awkward conversations and maybe they can meet my boyfriend. then im going on a trip with him for a few days. i want to post a picture of us together (just standing together, maybe my arm around him) on facebook, maybe even make it my profile pic. then i want to change my "intrested in" to men. i think anyone on facebook who cares about me enough will notice the profile pic and want to know who it is. maybe theyll ask or maybe they will look and see that im intrested in men.

is that a good way to come out of the closet quick? i want to come out quick, but not too quick.

There is no easy or "good" way to come out of the closet. It all depends on your relationships with your family and friends. Act according to your own conscience and what you feel comfortable with. Your plan has merit. Sometimes your friends finding out from facebook may not be the best way for some of then. Especially if they are close to you. If they are not close friends that may be the best way. Only you can pick and choose who you might contact individually first, if any. Definitely come out to your family first. What you are about to do takes guts. Best of luck to you. Oh I meant to ask, does your boyfriend know you are going to do this??
