My Facebook is 100% private but I get Facebook results when I google my name?
How do I fix this? I have a unique name so when I google it I only get results for myself. And they all lead to Facebook! I didn't realize things I posted in Groups and Pages would end up showing up in Google! Is that supposed to happen? Is there any way I can get rid of it? Facebook used to not be like that. Now I have to go and delete every past post I made as it pops up on Google, but you can still see it cached! Its not like I said bad things in these posts.. but I just thought it would be private.

Why is facebook doing this? All my settings are to Friends and Friends of Friends. The only thing non-friends and non-friends-of-friends can see of me is my gender, and they can add me or send me a message too. I just checked everything in Privacy settings and I don't get what I'm doing wrong. Instant personalization - off, Public search - off.

I dont want all these stupid Facebook things popping up in the future if my future employers google me. I'm 16, btw. Who can I contact to fix this? Preferably a phone number cause I don't know how long it would take them to answer an email. Thanks
Once I googled my name at the library and my name showed up too.. so its not just my computer
Derrick I've always had that unchecked but my info is still out there Sad

yes its still private, it shows your url and name on google

Facebook and the theory of Private are a myth.
Assume everything you put on the net is not private and you will be fine.

Your facebook profile isn't private. Any beginner hacker could get into it. Those options are just for within the facebook site.

To stop information you post on Facebook from being seen on public search engines, click Account > Privacy Settings > Edit Your Settings [under Applications and Websites} > Public Search > Edit Settings > Uncheck the box.

The things you wrote on these public groups etc may have been written before the privacy changes occured, and under the Terms and Conditions of Facebook at the time, that information could be shared on any site. But now, since Facebook allows personalizations to privacy, you can prevent future information from being seen in search engines [which you have done]. I'm thinking that all of the posts you made before changing your privacy settings, will be seen in search engines permanently. If your posts aren't offensive to anybody, don't worry about it.
