Marketing Natural Products? 10 Points Best Answer?
I work in a company which produces essential oils, natural soaps and hydrolats. I need some ideas to develop its business. I mean new ideas for products, new markets and stuff like that.

Yes, market to the weak minded, easily swayed, nervous about their looks, and the balding (they'll just about buy anything) Explain in your marketing that all those chemicals that are added to today's cosmetics are eating peoples faces, and your stuff has secret herbs to heal! Wo wo!

I think before you can look at developing its business the key thing would be for you to put together a marketing plan. That will help identify

1. what products suit which market best
2. what your current position in the market may be
3. will help you identify the key stakeholders
4. will help with identifying which customers are the best to target
5. It will also show you what methods/media to use to promote your products

Weather you are a new business or an established business we have found that the following approach works best in preparation of a marketing plan. It is called SOSTAC ( SOSTAC® is a registered trade mark of PR Smith. More information at http://www.prsmith.org.) which stands for Situation, Objectives, Strategy, Tactics, Action, Control this is an integrated approach to planning. The plan asks specific questions
1. where are you now? (Situation)
2. where do you want to go? (Objectives)
3. How are you going to get there? (Strategy)
4. How are you going to get there (Tactics)
5. How are you going to get the plan to work? (Action)
6. How are you going to ensure arrival? (Control)

This will assist you in developing an appropriate plan but will also allow you to take into consideration the whole organisation, your financial situation, legal etc. This is quite a comprehensive tool and can be used for small or large marketing plans. I have included a number of resources which should assist you.

if you don't want to take this approach it may not be as effective but then i would look at social media which is free to access and can give you a wide exposure. for example facebook
