Can't Install Some Apps on My HTC?
I'm trying to install this "Kik Messenger" for my HTC Wildfire S, I can't find it on android market so I searched to download it via google, found the link, then when I go to tap on it I get the message "The Requested Item Could Not Be Found". I'm pretty sure it's not my internal storage because I've checked that and I have roughly 20mb free at the moment and I'm sure it can't be that big, can anyone tell me what's going on? Also, get the same error with the Twitter application.
I also have emptied my cache on numerous occasions...

Your phone has an inbuilt security system that only allows apps to be downloaded if they're from the official Google source. You can disable this by going into your settings, and then your Apps menu option.

Given the error you've had however, I'm inclined to think that this isn't the problem. It seems most likely that the page/app has been removed for some reason, or the server is down.

Just one thing - the security is there for a reason - I could write a clone kik app that sends me your phone number, all of your contects phone numbers, photos etc, and then sends a hidden premium rate text message every minute that you'd know nothing about, yet still be charged for. You still want to trust me with your money and information?? (Just be careful what you install on your phone dude)

By the way - apps in marketplace can still do this too - so check the permissions each app is looking for Wink
