Question after question has mentioned the "Kardashian" sisters here in the politics section. Most people here do not like them. Chances are, you hate the Kardashians. Either you hate them for their lifestyle, you hate them for their wealth, or you hate them for their selfish living. Perhaps all of these.

But, are they relevant in your life? Are they relevant in politics?

The Kardashians inhabit one television channel, and most people care nothing about them. Despite that, their name floods the internet and even you are brought to resent them. Fact is, they live in a place far away from you, and nothing they do impacts you in the slightest.

Yet, because of their disgusting behavior they're now somehow relevant enough for you to talk about. Social media makes it so; it's a collective consciousness that distracts you. What else could you be doing besides judging the Kardashian trash?

You could have read a book on the study of Law. You could have written a novel. You could have painted a portrait.

The Kardashians are not humble, but neither are those who judge them. Yet, they're still a topic here, right now.


This is how the social construct works. A topic is mentioned, and it goes "viral," like a disease. It spreads, and occupies the mind of those who give authority to the social construct in their lives. Now, you're talking about something as stupid as the Kardashians. See?

We are the ones who represent the downfall of society; as the society we are being forced into is a fabrication.

Kardashians represent the downfall of society. What they represent is relevant to people, even if they live far away from us and we'll (hopefully) never meet them in person. Because so many talk about them, it makes them relevant. It's also relevant in the same way that BrittneybSpears represented the downfall of society in the early 00's. Every decade there is a new media whore. Who or what they are doesn't really matter, but they represent a recurring "ideal" (yes, poor word choice but the most accurate).
