but they don't do anything to promote itself to the younger generation. what are some ideas that the younger crowd look for in a salon?

facebook, instagram, twitter, pinterest, blogging. Basically social media outreach. I had the same problem because I was working in a friends home salon as a booth renter, but no one knew about us. Now I do fine. If you want example here is my website, and it links to my pinterest, facebook, ect.
