Facebook: my friend accepted me but cannot find her on my friend list?

I sent my friend a friend request on facebook and she accepted me. I received an email notification that she accepted my friend request. But I did not see her on my page. Why? Why?

I sent her the friend request again but no reply. How do I know whether she denied my request or had not receive my request?

If you could send her another friend request (ie. you can click on "Add as a Friend" ) that means that she removed you as a friend (after accepting, for whatever reason).

If it changes to "Friend Requested", then it means she has not replied yet.

So Bottom line:
If it says Friend Requested - she hasn't replied yet
If "Add as a friend" - she denied the request
If nothing there - either she removed the option, or you are friends with her (in that case check on your friends page: http://www.facebook.com/friends/ ).
