Why can't I install Timeline to my Facebook profile?

I joined facebook Monday and I wanted timeline. I couldn't get it though... so then I tried it the hard way by the developers way by making an app, blah blah blah, when my account was hacked. I rejoined facebook Friday. I still can't get timeline and I will not go through developers. How do I get it? Do I have to have a certain friend amount / or be on fb for a certain period of time?

U should hav to go to ur search bar and type in timeline it will show up as an app nd u use it

then click the green button at the bottom

if you dont see the button, that means you have to wait for it
