The rules for Facebook groups are far more lenient than for those of Facebook pages. A group may be created by any Facebook user and cover a wide variety of topics -- you don't have to be an official representative of anything to start a group. Groups may also be constructed for the purpose of keeping in touch with a specific group of friends, such as the alumni of your college class. If your group finds a bad apple in its midst, an administrator can delete him from the group quickly. Creators are automatically administrators and can also appoint additional administrators.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

1
Point your browser to the group's profile. Your groups are listed in the left column of the Facebook homepage -- if you don't see a particular group listed, type "Groups" into the search engine at the top of the page. Select the top search result to see the full list of groups to which you belong. Click once on a group to open its profile.

2
Click on the gray "Edit Group" icon on the right side of the page.

3
Click on the "Members" tab, located on the left side of the screen.

4
Enter the name of a group member in the search field and click the magnifying glass to execute a search.

5
Click on the "x" next to a member's name to delete him from the group. Confirm the removal when prompted -- check the box next to "Ban Permanently" if you want to prohibit the member from ever being added again. Banned members are also prohibited from seeing the group anywhere on Facebook.
