Where do restaurant servers in New Orleans go out after work?
I am working on project for graduate school that is investigating the social aspect of the server community of New Orleans. Ideal I would like to learn what places servers go after work and why? Any information helps!

There are bars all over the city which are frequented by people who work in the hospitality industry. The overall factor is the bars have normal to good drink prices and the staff tends to take care of their fellow workers with more-frequent free drinks than at other bars. For example, most bar owners/managers let bartenders give one "free" drink after five paid drinks while it may be 1 for 3 at "server-friendly" bars.
The bars can change, often according to the personality of the owner/manager. http://www.nola.com/bar-guide/index.ssf/...index.html You might want to ask to interview the owner of Molly's at the Market: http://www.mollysatthemarket.net/ Ads |
