Facebook notifications don't work?

I don't get notifications on facebook except for annoying things like applications. And if somebody comments on my status. but that's it.

I went to settings and changed it to how i wanted it, but it didn't work.

Is there something else i can try?

facebook have removed the notification form "Home" .. instead u can find ur notification by going to ur inbox then "Notification"
