Girl i like. But she says she dosent feel the same way?
Ok so I like this girl called Lauren in college and she knows I like her but she says that she doesn't want a relationship she asked me to back off and that we can still talk. So all this would be ok if it weren't for the following details that are getting me confused:

1. All of our group of about 15 people know I like her. but to about 7 of us its obvious that she likes one of my friends Paul she hugged him before he went to class right in front of me but later apologized to Paul for making things awkward but me and Paul would not fall out over a girl plus Paul has clearly stated to everyone but her that she aint gonna get him and that he's done with women while in college. but why would she tell me she don't wont a relationship if it obvious se likes Paul.

2. Now I aint had a girlfriend before so some signs that a girl likes me but wont admit it aren't always obvious to me but I am pretty sure that when you spend 4 hours talking to each other over facebook on a Saturday night and asks what am I up to about 3 times. that's surely saying something.

3. I asked her friend Sophie to find out whether Lauren likes me as well and sophie replied back saying no that unfortunately she doesn't.

4. I always catch her looking at me if we are at opposite ends of the table.

So please take all this into account before answering plus be in mind that Laurens told me that her father would beat Lauren around before and cause of this she says she don't trust men easy which again is strange cause she got no problem hugging Paul.

I have changed all the names of the people here for certain reasons Lauren, Paul and Sophie are not their real names.

If u have read all of this your a fucking patient human being who deserves a medal.

Okay well thats confusing and im kind of going through the same thing except my friend doesn't like anyone. Well that just weird.. maybe she enjoys being your friend? Or maybe shes just to embarrassed or not ready to tell you that she likes you? I would tell her that you still cant get over her and you really really like her you never know what she feels try to hav a deep talk with her good luck

Hey man, I'm sorry to have to tell you this but 'lauren' only sees you as a friend. After all, friends stay up at night and talk to each other about what they're doing.
The reason she said she didn't want a relationship, well it was a way to tell you to back off. What she meant is that she didn't want a relationship with you, rather than not wanting a relationship at all.
Now if she liked you even a little bit the same way you like her, she wouldn't tell you to back off like she did, she would leave some window for opportunity.

Sorry, but since you've never had a girlfriend before it's kind of hard for you to understand these signs. Plus you're a guy.

We don't always get what we want. Good things do not automatically happen because we want them to happen. She has told you very clearly what the deal is. Accept her offer of friendship and be content.

Well, Patrick, every word has been consumed and here's a take on the matter.

First, your time will come to be appreciated and matched in a great relationship. This unfortunately doesn't sound like a match. The one you really want or need is probably staring you right in the face. Rethink and redirect your heartcrush. Here's why!

1. She appears to like someone else and all friends seem to confirm that fact. Trust your friends opinions!
2. Her behaviors clearly point to her desires. Let it play out!
3. Sometimes potential lovers never want you when your interest is so obvious and so public. Act like
you're over it, even if you're not. Watch from the sidelines.
4. Too many people in your business is damaging . The less they know, the more control you have!
Remember that little piece of wisdom!.

These are tried and true suggestions because one thing for sure, in life, people don't like to be ignored. Being ignored causes one to seek. Being sought after, so profusely, causes one to secretly enjoy the game of cat and mice.

Hope this helps.
