The actual goal of the climatism is to liquidate democracy, freedom, and prosperity in the world?
Do you agree with former Harvard Physicist Dr. Lubos Motl of the Czech Republic when he commented on the UN’s Christiana Figueres lauding of China & Criticism of U.S.?

"Motl: 'The actual goal of the climatism is to liquidate democracy, freedom, and prosperity in the world.' - 'Figueres' totalitarian advertisements are indefensible by the struggle to reduce the CO2 emissions because China's CO2 emissions were actually growing significantly more quickly than America's emissions in recent years – and China overtook the U.S. as the world's #1 producer of CO2 six years ago or so'

'The goal of these "people" is to stop democracy, freedom, and prosperity regardless of the fate of Nature, the temperatures, or the CO2 concentrations...Just to be sure, comrade Figueres, the "slow" negotiations in the U.S. Congress – known as democracy – are not detrimental at all. They are what keeps the society decent, what allows it to search and find a better solution among at least two, and what protects the society against power-thirsty individuals like Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, and yourself. The well-being of America is one of the arguments supporting the view that freedom and democracy are precious values that must be defended against false values and pseudosciences such as eugenics, Lysenkoism, the cultural revolution, and climate alarmism.'"

Christiana Figueres of Costa Rica has concluded that "the political divide in the U.S. Congress has slowed efforts to pass climate legislation and is very detrimental to the fight against global warming" while "China is also able to implement policies because its political system avoids some of the legislative hurdles seen in countries including the U.S.".

All one has to do is read the drafts of the proposed climate change treaty at Copenhagen in 2009 to know precisely what their agenda is. It's spelled out in black and white.

Excellent piece!

The problem in the U.S. is that we tend to spend huge sums of money before we even know there to be a problem.......Corn Ethanol is one example of waste and Voodoo Science.

Such wreckless waste of taxpayer's hard-earned money makes it easy to believe that there is more to so-called 'Global Warming' than 'science' or the 'good of Mankind'.

I suspect corruption at the highest level with selected 'scientists' and some crazed politicians as strange bedfellows.

I truly fear for democracy, freedom and freedom of speech.
I have no fear of climate change, whatever happens warmer or colder I am sure we will adapt.
Most of all I fear bureaucrats as they desire to control all aspects of our lives.

Globalism: A national geopolitical policy in which the entire world is regarded as the appropriate sphere for a state's influence. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/globalism

We should not forget that the last person to make a serious play toward globalism was Hitler. And what exactly could be more xenophobic, nationalistic, ignorant and boorish than Nazism?

But in direct answer to your question, YES, destruction of freedom and world socialism are the goals and of course to also make mountains of money during the process.

Here we have Mongolian neo-Nazis that have just recently decided to rebrand themselves as environmentalists. http://www.thestar.com/news/world/2013/0...golia.html

No policy changes for this group I'm sure, just a name change to deceive those that don't realize Communism, Nazism, Socialism, Fascism, Environmentalism are all pretty much the same thing. Their ultimate goals are no property rights, no freedom, little or no free market --- they are all totalitarian in nature. For the most part, its only the uniforms that change with these people.

But the Warmists are not ONLY being exposed by the fact it's not warming, and by all their failed predictions --- but their political roots are being exposed as well. The Mongolian neo-Nazis decision above stands as testament to that.

Did you ever notice that the laws the Warmist/Alarmist want to pass are a socialist dream come true. That is no accident.

This is obviously a slanted question, and is attracting people with a particular view of the issue.

The answer is no (in general).

1. Saving energy is the same as saving money. Fuel efficiency of cars has been increasing as gas prices have gone up, not because people want to save the environment, but because they want to save money at the pump. And cars haven't really become more expensive because of it either, not compared to other options like automatic transmission, leather seats, sun roofs, integrated sound systems...

2. We've mandated much higher efficiency levels for refrigerators, furnaces, house insulation, etc. This was all started decades ago, before "climatism" (a made-up word). It was to save our resources (coal oil, etc.) for the future and to spend less government money in building more power plants.

3. If it was really to make "piles of money" as some have said, shouldn't capitalists be all over this and saying it's a good thing? Instead, most money will stay in company bank accounts, as they spend less over the long term on energy costs.

4. The stock market abhors unknown change. They don't like it when they can't predict something. A changing climate threatens that in a big way. If we lose wheat production in Texas because of drought, or New York has to spend billions in flood protection, and then Miami gets hit by a storm surge from a hurricane (hurricanes always happen, but a rising sea makes for a larger storm surge), this is all going to drive the market down. Humans will adapt, nature will adapt over the centuries, but in the short term our economy stands to take a massive hit if climate change starts happening quickly. We're just trying to protect our economy and our way of life for our children and grandchildren.

We definitely need to include China and other developing countries in this process. China is a massive polluter and they need to clean up their own cities just so their citizens can breathe safely. It wasn't so much of a factor back when we first started talks on what kind of action to take in the 90's.
