Instagram made me reset my password?

Instagram had me logged out and told me I had to reset my password to secure my account why would this be?

It could be because, someone may have tried to log onto your instagram account, or you probably logged on with another device? orrr, it could just be that they want you to update it for any security reasons.
Happaned to me, but only because i logged in with another device. Hope i answered your question
