iphone/twitter help?! notifications and twitter texts?

so, i have an iphone. and i use twitter. before i got my ohone i just had the twitter notifications to the people i was subscribed to sent to my phone. but i still use that but it sends me notifications too directly from twittter and i just want my texts. but how do i turn off the notifications without turning off my texts.
