the facebook app keeps crashing on my ipod?

so this just started happening january, 4th 2012. I go and log on to my facebook and it stays for about 8 seconds then it logs itself out and there is nothing i can do to make it stay logged on. i have tried shutting my ipod off plugging it into itunes and syncing, deleting and re downloading the app and nothing has worked so far! help please
