How to make a picture your profile picture on this NEW shitty Yahoo?

profile.yahoo.com gives me no options to change my profile picture.
can someone give me step by step instructions on how to upload a profile picture to yahoo?

going to the profile.yahoo page just gives me the option to connect facebook (already connected to my GMAIL account)

P.s i DO NOT want an AVATAR. this is yahoo not cartoon avatar fun time.
I would like to have a picture of my real face so people can see me, not a stupid cartoon.

1: All pictures you post in that little books are avatars, no matter whether it is a cartoon avatar or a personal photo.

2: You can use a photo avatar or a cartoon avatar from another site, and if you have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can also use those avatars.

Go to: http://profile.yahoo.com/y/settings/privacy/ - make sure your profile isn't hidden, because if it is, your avatar won't show.

You have several options in case you want a photo avatar:
a) go to your Yahoo! Answers settings at http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity > click edit my preferences near your current pic > click "Update photo or avatar",
b) go to your Yahoo! Profile at http://profile.yahoo.com/ , click on the current avatar.
Now upload a picture or choose one of the pics you've uploaded previously.

Note: if you are on a mobile, you need to switch to desktop mode first in order for this to work.

You could choose either a cartoon or a photo avatar

The Yahoo avatars page is no longer available but you can do this:
Create a personal avatar below not a moving or large one, right click and save it to you pc then upload it as below.

Click your current avatar then click view profile or go to

click your current avatar , click change picture in the centre, click the upward arrow on left, "edit my public profile" browse and select the avatar or pic you want from your pc, follow the prompts
