How do I block some stalker on facebook?

some guy sent me a friend request. i refused but he is still sending me messages.
I tried to block him in going to the menu " how to stop someone bothering me" but his name is quite common and he doesn't appear on the list. I tried with his email address but he cannot be found.

that would be great if you guys could help me!

go onto his profile and click the drop down arrow near the friend request button and then click block. it should be on his cover photo

Click Settings&Privacy at the bottom of
anypage
Click Blocking
Type the name or email address of the
person you want to block, then click Block
If you can’t find someone using this method, try going to the "Person’s Timeline"
and selecting "Block this person" from the
bottom menu.

If he keeps sending you friend requests, then you could find his profile and block him. Do this the next time he does that.

If he is just sending you messages and he isn't taking the hint that you don't want to talk to him, simply reply "Not interested...please do not contact me again". Hopefully, this will help.
