Instagram won't open help!?

I've had my ipod touch since christmas. I've used instagram on it before, but recently it won't even open. I have tried the following to fix the problem, and none of these have worked.

-Restarting Ipod
-Deleting App and re-downloading it, and then restarting it
-updating ipod through itunes (6.0.1)
-making sure no other apps are running in the background causing it to be slow. (double hitting the home button and hitting minus bubbles)


I have researched an cannot find a solution and I'm hoping I missed something and someone can help me please. I'm just frustrated that I can't understand how to fix it.
