curly hair/dead ends?
I HAVE EXTREMELY curly hair. I think I might have a 4c curl type. My hair is a short afro but when I straighten it my longest layer is at my neck. I love my curls I really do but its my dead ends. I have ALOT I never thought I could get that many. Its like an inch of dead ends. Also I don't understand why, but the middle of my hair is soo short. I just want someone to help me out with ways I can maintain my curls and prevent dead ends. My best friend is cutting my dead ends tomorrow in school.

I use these products in my hair
-mane and tail shampoo and conditioner
-blue magic hair grease
- BB hair growth

I'm just trying to grow my hair too. I heard mane and tail works well for hair growth so I bought it. Please someone let me know what I'm doing wrong. I'd appreciate your thoughts and comments.

I have curly/dry hair too! For me mane n tail works very well, they have a mane and tail moisture rich line, also garnier conditioning treatments work very well for me as well!

Ok, for curly hair that is dry and damaged you should use some argan oil to get it soft, healthy and without frizz. Argan oil is not greasy and it's really light and easy to use. It smoothes hair down and makes it soft and healthy while preventing damage and split ends, I use one called Pro Natural’s that I got online. You just put some on damp hair after a shower and style your hair as usual. Really helps a lot Smile

Barbie,
I am going to walk through this with you.

"I HAVE EXTREMELY curly hair. I think I might have a 4c curl type. My hair is a short afro but when I straighten it my longest layer is at my neck. I love my curls I really do but its my dead ends. I have ALOT I never thought I could get that many. Its like an inch of dead ends."

Ok, here you talk about dead ends an inch worth. Please trim them so that you hair is healthy. Also make sure to keep extra moisture on your ends to keep them healthy. Most naturals just co-wash, meaning the conditioner is the shampoo. Sulfates in the shampoo dry curly hair out which can lead to the issues you are currently having. I would suggest an economical conditioner to use as shampoo and use your main and tail to deep condition your hair. Furthermore your products below save for one is not adding moisture to your hair. Do you refresh your hair daily? Refreshing is taking a spray bottle with water and misting your curls. Some add scented oils, gylcerine, leave-in conditioner, herbs to their bottle however the base is water for moisture. Then taking and oil and sealing in that moisture. I do not see this in your regimen again those ends can get really dry and they need this type of TLC.

"Also I don't understand why, but the middle of my hair is soo short. I just want someone to help me out with ways I can maintain my curls and prevent dead ends. My best friend is cutting my dead ends tomorrow in school."

The reason why the middle of your hair is soo short is because of breakage. You need to sleep with a satin or silk scarf every night! If you are lazy, like I sometimes am (teeheehee) then get a satin or silk pillow case. Walmart is now selling them and if not go to the thrift store and buy an extra large shirt and make one. If your hair is breaking around the sides you are pulling your hair too tight or if you are wearing a bun alot the material it is made out of is breaking off your hair.

I hope your friend is a good trimmer. Lesson learned barbie. Let me know how it is going find me on Facebook live at curlycrownonline. Hope this helps
