What has Yahoo done now?

I am assuming anyone who sees this question has also seen the new Answers format on Yahoo Canada....even uglier and less user-friendly than the new Yahoo Canada format. Am I the only one tired of Yahoo doing things like this? Will they ever stop? Or am I taking this the wrong way?

we've had the purple format for a while in the US. i like the green one better

You are taking it the wrong way. This is only the second major site update in seven years. Part of it is to update the look of YA to match the rest of Yahoo into the purple color and to add features. Millions are using the purple version now and have learned how it works. You have to test drive it to learn how it works. Also note, people hated the green version when it came out.

The new purple version was created for several reasons:

1. It works better on mobiles than the green

2. It added several new features the users were whining to get. Find them?

3. It was created to use newer software just like Facebook, etc

4. Corporate said to redesign to look more like Facebook, etc

5. To remove some glitches, which they did, but new ones were created

Give it 30 days and you will get the hang of it. Many people hated the green version when it started, because it was different. That is the same thing here.

What has Yahoo done now?

They opted to ignore the 95% of those who posted their dislike of the new format via the Suggestion Board and do what they felt like doing, end of story..

I've never had Twitter or Facebook, but from what I understand... Yahoo is becoming just like them... all those second by second updates about what everyone else is doing... it's not my idea of great and I dislike it intensely.

I am on Canada's and cleared my cookies and cache for my browser...seems to work, so far, to give me the old format.
