Facebook. Notifications. Help needed.?

I made a account in 2009 and when i go to my email in HOTMAIL, i get lots of messages from Facebook. They are notifications. How do i stop getting notifications in my hotmail. I also get notifications from Facebook but it is fine but i got 1 MILLION notifications on my hotmail and how do i stop it. I don't want any notifications on my HOTMAIL but on Facebook it is just fine.

Try looking at your Facebook account settings. There are options that you can use to turn off these notifications.

while u r logged in, there is a link SETTINGS beside the search bar, goto it
now in the new page, there will be tabs, one of which will be Notifications
click on that TAB and uncheck all the boxes below E-Mail column

go to settings in the top right hand corner and left of the search and logout button. under settings will say account settings, privacy settings, etc. go click account settings. the screen will come to a page on your account. one of the tabs there (3rd tab) says notifications. you can than choose what kinds of notifications you want to recieve or block from email or face. try it out.

I have just figured out how to stop that as I want them stopped as well.

Right.
1) Hover over 'Settings' (top right hand corner between your name and 'log out')
2) Choose 'Account Settings'
3) And then click on 'Notifications' in the bar (in between 'Networks' and 'Mobile')

It then shows you a checklist of types of notifications you want or do not want sent to you via e-mail. :}
