Why did my ex Re add me on facebook but doesnt really talk to me?

i deleted my ex off my facebook about 3 months ago. Then on christmas he re adds me back and sends me a message saying merry xmas and put 5 kisses. I responded thanks you too and he didnt say anything back.

i dont get it? hes the one that dumped me (said he lost feelings), now that were friends on facebook, he NEVER likes anything of mine or bothers to talk to me, but he ALWAYS likes his friends and other peoples posts/status/pics/ect..

whats going in his head? why is he doing this?

I think he broke up because he wasn't in love with you anymore but he probably still wants to be your friend in a way...but he doesn't want to "like" your posts or pics so that you won't get the wrong idea about flirting, making up, or him looking for another shot at the relationships you guys used to have. In other words he doesn't want to lead you on but still wants to be your friend because maybe he finds that you were a very important person in his life at some point and even though things didn't work out, there's no need to be strangers. Pretty mature if you ask me. It's not like he's bugging you. If it is affecting you, just unfriend him. If he tries to friend you again and again, just ask why or be straight up that you don't want anything with him anymore.

The exact same thing happened to me. Don't fall for it. He doesn't want to be with you but wants to keep tabs on you. The second he realises that you don't care and have moved on, he is going to try to get in there and win you back. If he wins you back, he will lose interest again and leave.

Its a mind game.
