PCI Express 1.0 Card with PCI Express 3.0 Slot?
Hello, I have a pair of nvidia geforce 7800 GTX 512 cards that i've just ordered off ebay for a project, but the interface is only PCI Express 1.0 as mentioned above.

I want to test the cards in my friends rig, but he said he has only PCI Express 3.0 slots on his motherboard, would the cards and the slots be compatible with each other?

Its fine...the slots are backwards compatible. So a 3.0 slot can use a 3.0, 2.0, or 1.0 graphics card. If you have any questions you can message me at https://www.facebook.com/pages/NBSN/205302762950470
