Why won't pictures open on Twitter?

I usually use Firefox, but lately I've had to use Internet Explorer (ver. 10). I noticed that when I open the "Photos and videos" link on someone's profile, the thumbnails will load in the gallery, but the pictures will not open when clicked. Oddly, if I'm on the profile home page, I can click a picture from the small gallery that loads on the left, and it will open properly. Is there a setting I need to change in Internet Explorer to get it to work?

Try to use Google Chrome, I never had problems with it.

This can happen for a number of reasons-

1. The pictures are large and need more bandwidth to open

2. Your browser needs to be updated or change to Chrome while opening Twitter

3. Content of some pictures are often blocked by Twitter. Although the link appears, the picture does not open
