Why won't my facebook app work on my blackberry?

I downloaded the facebook app on the blackberry using the blackberry app downloader thing, it downloaded fully, it's the right thing, it's got the icon and everything on my menu, but when i go to open it reads this message:

You are currently on a service
plan that does not support this
application. If you want to use this
application, please contact your
service provider to upgrade your
data plan.

I am on a 'Simply 8p tariff
I am not intent on changing my contract/tariff or whatever the hell it is, please help me on being able to use this facebook app, thanks.

It sounds as if your contract doesn't include data, other than email. Unfortunately, to access facebook you'll need data access.

Alternatively, not knowing who your operator is, there is a small possibility that you do have data, but that facebook is blocked. Have a chat with your operator to see which it is.
