If you think about it, we would be better off getting rid of social security. If we didn't have social security, we could save the money from the social security taxes and put it in our own retirement account. You should do that anyway.

Social Security is at it's end anyway thanks to the democrats of congress who rob from it to pay for there pork projects. And if Barry gets elected where do think he is going to get all this dream money for his large programs, taxes and social security.

By the time I'm ready to retire, from my calculations I will be getting only about 200 bucks out of what I have put in compared to both of my grandfather's 500 bucks presently.

Yet, I see that currently a lot of citizens are bringing over relatives and those relatives are collecting social security, as well without have to put a thin dime into it.

I'd rather no one have it, then having people that haven't worked for it. I will drop dead at work.

McCain has never said he would end social security. Besides we can't, as much as I wish we could, the government has spent all the money in the SS. We pay hand to mouth. We take care of our families like God intended, we trust Him and work!

did you know every one in my age group... im 26 will only get 24 cents on every dollar we pay into social security ? i would have never got anything any way and with the market the way it is there is no reason to invest anything right now.. all i can do it hope some thing comes up before now and retirment or me and the rest in my age group will be homless after working age .... it doesnt matter whos fault it is man... every one points fingers unless we pick some one that will fight for me and you were all screwed
