Free ways to promote my website madnails.storenvy.com?
I've started up a website to sell my nail designs. It started as a hobby and people kept asking where I get them so I opened a store at madnails.storenvy.com . I've been doing alright but I'm wondering how to advertise even more for free. I've already got a facebook fan page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mad-Nails...3539074006

So if you know any tips or other websites I can share my store that would be awesome Smile

(Yes, I am advertising it on here right now. lol But I also want to know if there are any other ideas.)

Yea Facebook is probably your best bet, the way you engage you visitors can make a huge difference, you might just make it an art gallery with your store mentioned almost as an after thought.

Pinterest is a visually oriented site with a strong female following that some stores use effectively to drive traffic, you can pin other pages which are likely to pin yours in response.

You might try listing a couple sets on Etsy.com, costs just 20 cents per listing + 6% of sales.

The load time of a site effects it's visitor bounce rate, you really should replace that header graphic with a jpeg compressed version, using perhaps 60% quality setting you can make that file 10X smaller.

If you use more lengthy description your page may do better in the search engines:

I would recommend advertising on social networks like Facebook.

Simply head over to Facebook.com and use their search feature to find other wordpress fan pages that are nails fan pages. Then comment on those pages (also using your fanpage as a commentor on FB) and comment on those fan pages. Give them relevant comments which they can eventually go back and click through to your own fanpage.
