Don't want to move to Florida?

I've moved to Florida before for a couple months and hated it. My parents moved us back to Michigan but now they're thinking of moving back. What are some ways that I can do to change their mind. I don't want to leave my friends ps im 15. PLEASE HELP :/

Are your parents independently wealthy, or do they both have jobs that may have something to do with moving?

Very few parents take their kids into consideration when planning a move for the simple reason that most most are motivated by economic drivers, not what their kid wants. Does it make sense to live somewhere simply because your child likes it if you can't afford to feed the kid or have a house?

Hi, first off I know how hard it is to move IT SUCKS! But I'm currently living in Florida and I was born and raised here. I love it! It seems scary at first (new weather, different people, ect.) But you'll get through it. Even though theres no sure chance your moving (by that I mean take everyday at one time and you never know maybe you won't even move!) You can always goto the beach, We have beautiful weather, and I promise the people are not as scary as they seem. Us Floridians are actually pretty chill after awhile. So like I said don't stress to much now. It might be just a false alarm.

Discuss the expensive solutions being offered.
Keep talking about the man who was swallowed
while in bed and how he screamed and screamed
as it slowly ate him alive. Have you seen those
photographs of holes that gulp down several city
buildings overnight? Can you see the bottom?
If anybody starts talking about pizza be sure to
mention Florida is now selling a strange Python
Pizza because residents have an on-going Asian
invasive problem of huge snakes eating local pets
and alligators too. Good citizens are expected
to buy the snake meat just to keep Florida safe.
Smack your lips and say, 'Will it be greasy enough?'
or, 'Can I spit out the snake bones?' or, 'Its not like
they're eating us before we need to eat them?'
So, fret about the holes.
And, discuss your snake-in-the-house panic plans..

Artemisc gives you a very reasonable answer. Honest is a flipping moron. None of that stuff is as big a problem as they claim and lying about python meat is only going to annoy your parents. Sink holes happen here, but the big ones like mentioned are few and far between (you've got a better chance being frozen to death in Michigan than swallowed by a sink hole in Florida). The snake problem isn't as bad either, sure in the everglades it's an issue, but I see more gators than snakes period and I've yet to see a large python down here.

Moving sucks, it's never fun and it usually takes time to get use to. You're parents aren't going to like moving away from their friends and comfort any more than you will. If you talk to them about leaving your friends maybe they will compromise and let you come stay with a friends family for a week or two over the summer. With social media distance is nothing on a friendship, most of my friends live all over the country now (being in college) and I still keep in touch.


Unfortunately at 15 you're not going to do anything to change their minds and if they are anything like my parents you'll be grounded once you annoy them begging not to move. If they want to move they get to move and you have to accept that. Until you pay your own bills on your own place you're going to move wherever your parents tell you to. You already said, they are thinking about it, so it's not even a done deal yet. If you end up moving and like Michigan so much get good grades in high school so you can get a scholarship and go to Michigan for college.
