Is it tacky to quote yourself?
I get social media is all about yourself, and making yourself seem cool and all.. but isn't quoting yourself just really tacky?

Ok fine, post as many photos of yourself looking your best and pouting, and what not... but where do you draw the line?

This girl I know quoted herself, made an image of it, and actually put her name on it. Like as if she wants this quote of hers to go viral, and it's kind of a lame quote.

Or do people just not care about this kind of stuff anymore?

No, it is not!

How would you feel if someone think your quote is tacky?

Treat others as you would want them to treat you.

Always think positive.

She is not bothering you.

Yep!

You're going to have to be a lot more specific about what you mean.

What sort of quotation? A good one?

There's nothing wrong with using a quotation you've used before with a new photo of yourself, especially if it's your OWN remark. Other people have a right to feel that the remark is lame -- and to say so -- but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is. You can express your opinion; other people can say that they think you are full of it. That's social media for you. You have to accept that, if you are going to participate in such media and waste time worrying about them.

In other words, people can do and say as they please on social media. That's one of the reasons I dislike such media. The whole phenomenon is unbelievably childish and silly. But evidently you're into it, and so are your friends. You simply have to accept the way it works. If you can't, then perhaps you'd better give it all up.

Extremely.
But in the context of the site you are referring to, it will blend right in with the general sea of tackiness.
