click friends tab at the top, then find the friend who is causing the problem and press remove friends on the right of the box

you run your mouse over "friends" on the top of your Facebook home page and go down to "all friends", next you find the friend you want to delete, look to the right for that friends picture and your will see "add to list" and an "X", click the "X"

There are two ways of doing this. Firstly, you can go to your 'Friend List' and search for the person you would like to delete. When you've found the person, at the right column is an 'X'. Click on X to remove the person.

There are times when Facebook has a glitch where you can't delete a person from your list using the first way. This is where the second way comes in. You can go to the person's profile. Scroll down until you see a 'Remove from friends' link. Click on that to remove the person.

By the way, since you're currently having that person as a friend in your list, I would assume that that person was originally indeed, your friend, so I only hope that you can settle things with that person you're currently fighting with and it all ends peacefully. Cheers!
