Facebook Groups - Can i get in trouble for joining one?
Alright, So, I joined a group in facebook which had the title
"*Name Of Person** Is gay. Because i was accepting all invites, to everything. ( Had over 200) So, The next few months, My school brings me into the office, and starts talking to me, about how they have told the police, that i have joined a cyberbullying group on facebook. Can they actully do this? Im still waiting for more stuff to happen, But they say its on my record, ect.. What can i do to come back from this? Joining a facebook group isnt binding into any legal thing is it? And if not, What could i say to the teacher/princable that will make them understand.. Help.. Thanks Im In Year 9 ( Australia) Aged 15. What does watching paint dry have to do with this Ads |

no i don't think so you cant get in trouble because your not doing anything and theirs no harm. Others may have said something but you haven't typed any harassing comments if you have then you may possibly get in trouble if you have. otherwise don't worry you don't get in trouble

If you were posting hurtful things, then yes, it's against facebook policy.
i'm sure the group has since been deleted. Doesn't matter if facebook is binding or not, if your school has a policy against cyberbulling, then they have every right to do so. |
