Is it possible to delete my Facebook account ? Please help me !?

Is it possible to delete my Facebook Account? if this is so...please teach me how !

Click on settings (top right hand corner), then at the bottom of the page you will find "Deactivate Account"

I'm not sure!!!! BUT my wife set my facebook up few years ago and i didnt like it so i went into setting and thought i was deactivating or closing my FB account. but about a year later i realised that facebook is more popular so i decided to set up an account in my name again but turned out they didnt even close the old account as all my details and pictures were still held,

so maybe they only suspend your account so other people cant see, but nothing will get deleted etc

Yes. Click on 'settings' at the top right....'my account' at the bottom there is 'deactivate account'. I would delete all the pictures and videos and everything else before just to make it clean.

Your account will be deactivated for two weeks, and if you DO NOT LOG IN during that period, your account is permanently deleted. I REPEAT: don't panic if your profile isn't deleted right away! You must NOT try to log in to your account for at least two weeks, as it will cancel the deletion request.

Login to your Facebook account, click Help on the bottom right hand corner. You will then be taken to Facebook Help Center Page. On the search field, type "delete account" then a list of FAQs will come out. Find "How do I permanently delete my account?" and click to expand. Then click on the last word on the second paragraph which is the word "here" and follow the steps from there.

After going through the deletion process, it will take another 14 days for your account to be completely and permanently deleted. Do not login during those 14 days, on the 15th day your account will be gone permanently.
