How do you get followers on twitter with a fan account?

So I'm a 5sos fan account (imagine5sos1996) and I have a few other accounts but the highest I've gotten was 950 followers. I've tried so many things to get followers. Sites, follow tricks, following lots of people, etc but nothing worked. I REALLY don't like using the follower sites because they post tweets for you, you get followed by random people, and you get dumb notifications and DMs. I like to follow and be followed by people in my fandoms. So I was wondering if any big fan accounts have any advice for me. It'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have 7.7k followers and i mostly gain from follow tricks. You just have to follow a lot of people and then use unfollowers.me to unfollow all the ones that didnt follow back, so you are following less people than your followers. If you follow a lot more people than followers, a lot of accounts will not feel the need to follow back. So just make sure your account looks nice, rt the 'rt for some free follows' kind of tweets to boost up your followers. Other than that, unfollowers.me and follow tricks have helped me the most

I use this--> http://skylnk.co/FhJkIf its like the only free thing out there to get you followers w/o having to follow back. it works on a point system for multiple websites so you can go like peoples pages on Facebook or whatever and get points and then use those points to get twitter followers. that way your twitter isnt all cluttered with spam and your following count doesnt go up
