Dreams of a girl I've know since 10th grade. I always have this nostalgia. A longing of loving her?
In waking life, We have only met a few times in person, Always in groups have we hung out w/ mutual friends. I feel close to her, but I don't ever get the feeling that she might be too. We speak on twitter from time to time, I always do to check up on her. We have never hung out by just ourselves. honestly, i just have a twitter for her, it's the only way I can contact her.

Every month, In these dreams, I always feel a longing, like I've known her for an eternity. I want to make her laugh, protect her, care for her.

No other person makes me feel this way. I know I feel this way.

I haven't seen her in two years and just asked her last week if she wants to hangout, she said she'll see if she can. Having done this is provoking my thoughts. I don't know, Bizarre putting this up on yahoo, seeing I can get advice.

How brave and wonderful of you to have taken a chance because now you will never have the regret of the "what-if." Other people teach us about ourselves. So even if it doesn't work out, even if you just remain twitter-friends or your paths diverge completely. You had guts. You went after what you wanted. And you felt something deep and real. And the fact that you are capable of that makes you not only capable of that kind of love, deserving even - but also excellent potential boyfriend material...and if not to this girl who is probably by now a high school senior or a college freshman trying to figure her life out as you are...then certainly to someone more worthy that has the capacity to feel for you and consider you "unique in all the world."

I think you are looking back and wondering what might have been. It seems you have some regrets about possible opportunities missed and this memory represents that feeling. It sounds like she is not really interested, but you can ask her out, a specific thing you would like to do with her, and see how she responds. Use this as a lesson for the future and don't be afraid to show interest in the future toward someone you like.
