Why am I not getting email notifications about messages on facebook from a specific person as normal?

Why am I not getting email notification about a messages on facebook from a specific person as normal?
It's just concerning one facebook contact. Does this mean they are deleting the messages from their sent folder before facebook registers it on time to send me the notification to my email account? I know it's an obscure question but I've a good reason to find out so I hope someone out there has an accurate answer for me!
No, neither of us have blocked the other. I can still see their facebook page and it's possible to interact as normal. I'm just wondering if they are trying to hide the fact that they are sending me messages by deleting them from the messages folder immediately after sending...is this why I'm not getting email notifications even though I'm receiving messages? It's a delicate situation and I need to find out what's going on.

I sometimes don't get emails either. Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes random facebook emails go to my spam while the majority makes it to my inbox. If you want you can send me a message and delete right after and I will tell you if I got an email notification my fb is on my answers profile.
