I'm obsessive! What can I do?

I'm obsessive! What can I do?
I used to think this was the feeling of being in love, but I recently discovered that it's not- I'm just obsessive! Which is actually horrible. I've now obsessed over 6 people I can remember, meaning I can't stop thinking about them morning and night, I feel a compelling urge to look at them constantly, and I have to find out as much information as possible. Is this normal? The last person I latched onto, I ended up finding their facebook, youtube channel, tumblr and twitter, whilst finding the town they lived in and the dance school they went to in 3 hours, and they lived in a different country! I also found numerous videos of them from youtube and other sites. I really tried not to get attached like this, as I already discovered how this is obsessive behaviour and not falling in love, and I really tried not to get stuck like this but it didn't last long. So what can I do to prevent this happening again? Is this an actual disorder? Is it normal? Is this love? Please help me, I can't stop it mentally. (BTW I have an OCD incase that is linked).

It isn't love, it's just obsession... Perhaps you are looking for something in them to solve an issue you have with yourself?

Yes this looks more like obsession than love, and it may creep people out if they were to find out. I don't think its an actual disorder, but then again I'm not an expert. The OCD may be coming into play here. The best advice I can give you is to avoid searching people on the internet. Especially if you've never met them in person. Keep any possible relationships in real life and try not to stalk them on their social media.
